Prior to joining Moore Colson, Steve worked as Assurance Partner and Southeast Real Estate Practice Leader at KPMG LLP. Steve worked at KPMG LLP since 1983 and has 25 years experience, specializing in real estate accounting, financial reporting and auditing. Steve was the leader of their practice in Atlanta real estate firm in 1997 and shortly thereafter became the director of real estate practice throughout the Southeast. Steve’s experience includes serving customers in the following sectors of real estate: Fund managers and advisors, REITs, property management, development, construction, complex, and the host societies. His experience is both public and private companies and services include audit, tax, mergers & acquisitions, due diligence and other consulting services. Steve has also served as coach with an emphasis on teaching was emerging accounting issues, the real estate industry.
Steve is in several professional organizations including the National Association of Accountants, Georgia Society of Auditors, the National Association of Real Estate Companies, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trust, part of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and Pension Real Estate Association.

b.s. A graduate of Florida State University, where he graduated in 1983. Steve and his wife, Elaine, have two children, Nicole and Matthew. He is at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. Where he is deeply involved in the service of men and led several missions trips to Mexico and Peru active. Other hobbies and interests include coaching youth sports, golf, tennis, triathlon, running, weight lifting, reading, traveling and spending time with family.
